What the internship is about
Journalism interns join newspapers, magazines, digital news sites and the content teams of media companies. You pitch story ideas, research and interview sources, write news briefs and features, check names and numbers, and format stories with photos in the publication's CMS. Many outlets also want a short video or social post for each story, so you learn to report one story in several formats.
Weeks run on deadlines: a pitch meeting, reporting days out of the office, then edits and publication. Thailand and Singapore have the most media hosts, followed by Malaysia and Hong Kong.

What will I do on a journalism internship?
