Make a good first impression! Be confident! Nine times out of ten, they will judge the book by its covers so make sure that you look and sound presentable and trustworthy. Show them that you’ve done your research about the company that they are working for. Then, ask them for some career advice. If opportunities present itself, inform them that you would like to get an update on any vacancies. And let them know that you appreciate their help! In cases where they do not get back to you.
